If you are a recent Engineering graduate of UP, you might want to pack your bag and travel to Australia for work.
“This opportunity is a special type of visa granted only to University of the Philippines engineering graduates,” said Helen Bartholomew, founder of International Education Specialists (Inter-Ed).
Inter-Ed is the country’s authority in global education placement and acts as a direct admissions office of partner education institutions around the world.
She explained that Australia recognizes UP Engineering degrees and thus recent UP engineering graduates are eligible to apply under the Australian Skilled Recognized Graduate Visa.
This visa allows recent graduates of eligible universities such as University of the Philippines, the only university recognized in the Philippines, to gain up to 18 months of work experience in Australia.
The program is available only for recent UP graduates who graduated from bachelors or graduate studies less than two years ago.
“They may even use this opportunity as a springboard for future applications for permanent residency provided their skills are under the Skilled Occupation list,” Bartholomew added.
Successful applicants may also bring with them their spouse and children while in Australia. The spouse are allowed to find work as well.
