Apprentices and trainees
Apprentices are trained in specific skills to become a qualified tradesperson. Apprenticeships can take up to four years to complete. Trainees are trained in a vocational area. As a trainee you’ll work towards a minimum of a certificate level II in your chosen area. Traineeships can take between 12 months to three years to complete.
The best thing about apprenticeships and traineeships is that you learn skills on the job while you are paid.
