As Philippine students start contemplating return to school, and everything that comes with it, some students are casting their eyes further afield to the country that gave us the college education system that we have today; the USA. In a country with 50 states and 280 million people, there is an incredible choice of courses and colleges available both at undergraduate and graduate level. It’s no longer Business/MBA or Liberal Arts, but a mouth-watering range of courses, many of which lead into the best paid and most sought-after jobs. Engineering is still in high demand, e-commerce is booming once again, teachers are in short supply, people with Mathematical, Analytical and Financial acumen are badly needed and anybody with communication skills combined with technology are worth their weight in gold!
On Friday May 28th, at the US Commercial Service, Embassy of the United States, 25/F Ayala Life-FGU Center, 6811 Ayala Avenue, Makati, there will be free seminars given, presenting a wide range of accredited colleges and universities from all across the USA – and all of these are still accepting applications for this September. Southern New Hampshire University offering liberal arts and business courses just north of Boston — where some Pinoy celebrity icons graduated such as Tala Fernando, Derek Ramsay and the country’s pride, international diva Charice Pempengco who is currently enrolled in Communications via Distance Education at SNHU. Universities such as Long Island University (NY), Woodbury University (CA), Oregon State University, Chaminade University of Honolulu, James Madison University (VA),Manhattan College (NY), Florida Southern University (Fl), New York Film Academy (NY), Dean University (Boston, Mass.) will all be featured as will some very high profile colleges such as Bellevue College (WA) which is one of the few specially selected colleges in the USA to be sponsored and supported by Bill Gates. Graduate programs at these institutions are also available, as are graduate entry programs leading to Master’s degrees at several of the UMass campuses (University of Massachussetts).
The seminars are organized by Inter-Ed, International Education Specialists of Makati. There will be one on one interview and screening which is strictly by appointment only to be followed by a Seminar at 6.00 pm at the US Commercial Services section of the US Embassy on the 25th Floor of the Ayala Life-FGU Center located in Ayala Avenue, Makati. The informative seminar will discuss courses, colleges, student visas, student life in the USA and many of the institutions featured have special reduced tuition fees for students from the Philippines who want to leave for this September. Due to security measures, pre-registration is required.
