Studying in Switzerland has been a really great experience for me. Aside from learning to do a lot of things on my own, I also learned how to cope to changing situations. For me, the most interesting thing is being able to meet and work with students from many different countries and different age groups (believe it or not, I had a couple of classmates who were in the 30-40 year age range.)

As of the moment, I am doing my internship in Lausanne, Switzerland in a fine-dining, Michelin-star Chinese restaurant. Last semester proved to be really tough semester to get internships in hotels and I was really pleased to land a restaurant that is featured in all the major restauarnt guides for Switzerland. Knowledge of languages was also an issue when applying for internships – and gave me a definite plus. Work is hard and the hours are long doing internship in the restaurant. However, it is still a good opportunity to learn and I will make the most out of it. Salary is pretty good too!!
