20th Career Counseling & Guidance Fair: Careers, Education, Options
VICE-PRESIDENT, NOLI DE CASTRO was the Guest of Honor at the “MUST ATTEND” Education Event of the Year – THE 20TH CAREER COUNSELING & GUIDANCE FAIR – on SEPT 15 & 16 at the PICC, Roxas Boulevard and Sept 22 & 23 at the Royale Tagaytay Country Club, in Alfonso, Cavite. Open to all High School Students, more than 10,000 students from 340+ High Schools attended the event.
The Exhibit
The Opening Ceremony of cutting the ribbon was conducted by the Philippine Vice-President, The Honorable Noli De Castro, who has a special interest in mobilizing the youth for the growth and betterment of the country. The Alleviation of Poverty, and the Raising of Standards of Education are priorities on the Vice-President’s agenda in building a just and tolerant society. As such, both the exhibiting colleges and the attendant students were exactly the people that the Vice-President wanted to inspire in the building of a Revitalized and Re-emergent Philippines.
The Career Counseling and Guidance Fair has developed into the largest and best-attended education event in the Philippines. Its purpose is to assist high school students to make well-informed choices when deciding on their Course, College and Career. Both local and international institutions had the opportunity to showcase their capability while advising students about careers and how they need to equip themselves for those careers.
More than 10,000 high school students attended the event as an official Field Trip at its two locations, from more than 380 high schools. Any high school is welcome to attend and can organize a field trip for the September 2009 event by calling Inter-Ed on 819-1001/02.
The continued success of the event and the track record of 20 years of sustained growth, are testament to the organizers’ flair & passion in organizing the event with the highest level of impact and relevance for all participants.
