James Cook JCU Professor University, in conjunction with International Education Specialists, are bringing Professor Jamie Seymour to the Philippines to excite students/professionals about studies and careers in life sciences. Jamie is an iconic figure in Australia in the same way that Steve Irwin was, as he has TV Shows about the world’s most dangerous creatures – many of which live in Australia.

Focusing on this specific aspect of life sciences, Jamie will be giving a demonstration of working with dangerous creatures using videos and YouTube. At James Cook University Professor Seymour specializes in Research in Biology, Marine Biology, Natural and Physical Sciences, Tropical Animal Science and Zoology and will show how these subject areas can lead to exciting studies and career opportunities at both Undergraduate and Graduate level.

Introducing Professor Seymour and giving an overview of the benefits of Australian qualifications will be Grace Halcon from the Australian Embassy’s Commercial Section, and Roger Bartholomew of Inter-Ed who will discuss university admission and student visas. Kimberley Barbagallo from JCU’s International Office will also be there to answer questions about other subject areas and university life in Queensland.

This compelling event will be held at the AIM Conference Center (opposite Greenbelt 1) on Buenavidez cor. Trasierra St. in Legaspi Village, Makati on Saturday August 19th, from 9.00 – 11.30. While the event is completely free of charge, pre-registration is strongly recommended as seats will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Registrations may be made on-line through this Google Form or through the Inter-Ed FaceBook, by texting your name, current school/college and course of interest to 0918-904-1282 or calling 819-1001.
