STUDY AND EARN IN THE USA
Due to the expected costs of studying in the United States, many potential students are put off from taking the available opportunities before them. However, what most don’t know is that they can actually earn as they continue their studies! Due to this, the Study & Earn in the USA seminar being held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 and Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Commercial Section of the US Embassy is a major attraction for Philippine students. Graduate and MBA students can work as part of their course and can earn nearly enough to cover the cost of their studies. This concept of learning through real life training in the workplace has always been one of the most effective and attractive methods of learning. Called “cooperative education” in the USA, this method has long been practiced with graduate students and is one of the key features to be presented during the seminar.
Seven colleges and universities from California, Utah, Pennsylvania, Washington State, New York State and Virginia will be showcasing their range of undergraduate degrees, and three of them will have Cooperative Education Graduate programs and MBA’s available for interested students. Additionally, many of the colleges have Financial Aid available for students from the Philippines that will significantly help meet the costs of tuition and living while the students are pursuing their studies.
Hosted by International Education Specialists at the Commercial Section of the US Embassy, the Study and Earn in the USA seminar is one of a series of presentations organized by Inter-Ed with the embassy, for students wanting to study in the USA. The Commerce Section of the US Embassy is located at 25/F Ayala Life-FGU Center, 6811 Ayala Avenue, Makati City. The seminar is free and is open to anybody who wants to study undergraduate or graduate courses in the US. Pre-registration before November 13 is essential and must be done by calling Inter-Ed on 819-1001/02 or e-mailing them on firstname.lastname@example.org giving your full name, age, address, contact numbers, and school/college attended. We hope that you will take this unique opportunity to study and earn in the United States. See you there!
