DESCRIPTION
This year, as part of the British Council’s support for the National Teachers Month, we are offering free taster sessions for teachers to experience the various teacher development courses of the British Council.
The Academic Teaching Excellence (ATE) course is one of our new courses in the Philippines. The full course has been specifically designed to improve the overall quality of academic teaching by updating the lecturers’ language skills and offering useful techniques for day-to-day teaching. ATE has been developed in close cooperation with the University of Oxford’s Department of Education, drawing on the latest research in the field of English as Medium of Instruction (EMI). It is delivered by experienced teaching staff who have received special training for teaching ATE.
The taster session is designed for non-English subject teachers in senior high school and college who teach in English. As participants, you will experience activities from the full programme.
The session is free but pre-registration is required as slots are limited. Walk-ins and late attendees may be denied entry into the session.
Certificates of attendance will be issued to the participants after the 3-hour session.
